Rallye Sunseeker’s traditional two opening stages – the ‘Super Specials’ through the centre of Bournemouth – have a new sponsor for 2009 and are to be called ‘Visit North Cyprus’.

Event Director Rick Smith has recently signed a three-year partnership agreement with the North Cyprus Tourism Department. ‘Southern Car Club has several members in Cyprus,” says Rick, “and this arrangement is the culmination of some hard work behind the scenes. The North Cyprus Tourism team are really enthusiastic about this novel sponsorship which can only help to bring Rallye Sunseeker to an even wider audience and promote this charming holiday destination to a new market.”

In addition to the stage sponsorship arrangement, North Cyprus Tourism is also offering a superb holiday for four people to the Overall Winning Crew on Rallye Sunseeker.

In the last month the rally, the opening round of the Pirelli MSA Gravel Rally Championship, has attracted four new marketing partners – in addition to North Cyprus Tourism, Hoare Banks – marble & granite specialists – are to sponsor the two Ringwood North special stages, SCF Hardware will do likewise for those in Ringwood South and Insignia Signs are the event’s new sign & banner partners.
