Christmas saw the entries open for Rallye Sunseeker 2010, and the first one received was from the Northern Irish crew of Alan Carmichael and Ivor Lamont. Rally Sunseeker holds fond memories for Alan, as a few years ago, aside from one or two sprint events, it was the first gravel rally they contested. This year sees them using the event as a warm up for the Mitsubishi Challenge, which runs within the BRC for 2010.
Speaking to Rallye Sunseeker Alan said "Its a great event, and one which I really enjoy coming over to compete on. Its the furtherest one we would go over to, but I really look forward to going back. I am starting to get to know the stages now, and following our win on Group N on last years Circuit of Ireland and eventual 4th overall in the Mitsubishi Challenge, I reckon we can have a real good effort at trying to lift the Richard Burns trophy come February in Bournemouth." He went on to add "Group N should be a really good event, and the added bonus of the prize fund on offer and the fact of Richards name on the trophy means that Group N could turn out to a classical close battle in the forests"
